Frequently Asked Questions

How long are your walks?

Walks are an hour long, with extra time on top for pick up and drop off from the destination. Depending on the order each dog is picked up and the location we are visiting, pick up and drop off times can vary - taking into consideration traffic and other logistics

How do you transport the dogs?

We use air conditioned cars equipped with crates and / or dog seatbelts and a seat hammock to safely transport the dogs to and from your home to the destination. All dogs are checked for their temperament and suitability before travelling with other dogs to make sure they are all happy and safe in our care.

What areas do you pick up / drop off from?

We cover all of Greenwich, Kidbrooke, Blackheath, Charlton, Eltham and Hither Green. Please send us a message to check if we cover your post code.

Our group walks have up to 4 dogs per walker

Our favourite places to visit are Oxleas woods, Eltham park, Shepherdless woods, and Footscray Meadows. We also visit smaller parks around the borough, as well trips to The Animal Park in Charlton and river walks along the Thames Path

What age can puppies join the Puppy Club

Yes, but as with all our dogs, this is only after assessing his suitability for group walks, and it may require some flexibility around his walk time of day to ensure sure there are no clashes in personality in the groups!

Do you walk females in heat?

We are not able to take females in heat on our group walks, but we may be able to provide an out of hours walk in a quiet location away from other dogs, or provide short house visits for some play and enrichment during the day.

Do you walk reactive dogs?

We are experienced in walking reactive dogs one-to-one, and are able to help with some training to keep reactive dogs calm and happy on their walks.

I have a rescue dog that is not used to walking in groups and needs to get used to living in a city, can you still walk them?

Yes, we have experience in socialising rescue dogs and helping them to get used to their new surroundings at a pace that keeps them comfortable

My dog is recovering from surgery, can you still walk them

Yes, once your dog has the OK from their vet we can make suitable adjustments based on their recommendations. This may be on lead walks or a slower paced / shorter walk. we will mix in some enrichment games like scent work to keep them mentally stimulated, with less physical activity until they are fully recovered

How do you adapt the walks during adverse weather (heatwaves / extreme cold?)

In summer we take extra care to keep the dogs cool by staying out of the sun as much as possible. We stick to the shady woodlands and may visit shallow streams so the dogs can cool off in the water. We may also shorten the walks if any particular dog is struggling, paying attention to any higher risk breeds. In extreme heat, we may have to cancel walks and will then offer house visits with some play time indoors and a quick toilet break instead.

In winter we ask that you provide a waterproof and warm coat for your dog to wear, particularly short haired breeds and smaller dogs. We bring extra towels to dry off dogs in the car. In extreme cold we may have to shorten / or cancel walks, in which case we are able to do house visits.

Do you still walk the dogs during a thunderstorm

We are not able to walk dogs during a thunderstorm due to the risks of walking in open fields or near trees. Many dogs may also be spooked by sudden thunder so we try to avoid this as much as possible

Can you feed my dog after the walk

Yes, we are able to feed dogs when returning them home and top up fresh water. Just leave us instructions for feeding

What is your cancellation policy

Walks cancelled 24hrs or less will still be charged
